About Esag

Esag was established in July 2022 when a group of people met to discuss ways to form and maintain community around artmaking. Meetings initially were held in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, with plans for:

• Still life drawing and painting
• Collage-making
• Excursions to public and commercial galleries
• Lessons
• Pottery
• Exhibitions
• Giving and receiving feedback about completed work
• Sourcing and storing art materials

A network (for people aged 18 years and over) that is set up like Esag can play a role in the broader community, establishing links between people, serving as a focal point in the week, enabling a sense of purpose, and lending structure to individuals' lives. We hope that Esag can contribute in a positive way to the eastern suburbs.
