Drove out to Enmore with Virginia to see these amazing watercolours.
Even though the weather wasn't too good lots of people came to the show. I bought one of the paintings.
We had some good discussions with different people including the artist. Tanya said she called the works drawings even though obviously they're paintings. I was impressed by the skilful way Tanya achieved depth in the field of view.
It was a pleasure to engage with this lively work at the opening last night.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to calling watercolours drawings, even though they look like paintings. It has something to do with the process, especially if you use watercolour pencils.
